Artisan Clay Interiors & Painting, LLC (ACI) is a mother-daughter led team of all women applicators and artisans who have trained under SAFRA master artist Eve Gray. Ms. Gray has studied extensively in the United States, Italy and Morocco as well as with the corporate trainers at American Clay. ACI is one of the 2008 Charleston Chamber of Commerce's 50 Finalists for the New Ideas in a New Carolina Firestokers Awards. Recently they demonstrated the versatility of the earth plasters at the 23rd Annual Stencil Artisans League International's National Convention. Primarily ACI offers application services for the American Clay. American Clay Earth Plaster is a practical, environmentally friendly alternative to cement, gypsum, acrylic, and lime plasters. It is compatible with the “breatheable” construction recommended for both historic and new buildings. American Clay Natural Earth Plasters bring the appealing finishes of nature anywhere you want to add healthful beauty to your interior walls and ceilings. Manufactured in and using materials from the United States, American Clay uses natural clays, recycled and reclaimed aggregates, and vibrant natural pigments in each of the three beautiful finishes: LOMA, PORCELINA, and MARITTIMO. American Clay Earth Plasters surround your family or workplace with the warm beauty of soothing texture and rich color - far exceeding the interior surfaces produced by traditional paint, stucco, or other finishes. Earth Plasters are non-dusting, mold and fade resistant, repairable and moisture controlling. Additionally, American Clay may contribute up to 7 LEED credits (8 if you include the recycling area as all of American Clay’s packaging is recyclable). ACI can help with other interior finishing as well including low or no VOC painting, tung oil application, whitewashing, etc.
