EcoDesign Homes is a family-run custom builder of healthy and energy-efficient homes. We are the only Earthcraft-certified builder in the Aiken area and have an Earthcraft and Energy Star certified demonstration home in Aiken. Sam Dack is a life-long environmentalist and builder. The first house he built was an active solar house in Arizona which he constructed in 1976, having researched and designed his own solar heating system (it worked). Fast forward to last summer and fall, when Sam supervised the construction of the HGTV Green Giveaway Home near Hilton Head, the first LEED-certified (Gold Standard) home and the first net-metered solar home in South Carolina. Sam is currently the LEED provider representative for the Aiken area. Our services include new construction, green renovation, and consulting for energy efficiency and air quality.
